New wing coaster at Cedar Point: GateKeeper

Cedar Point has revealed its new project for the upcoming season: Record breaking „GateKeeper“ will let the guests scream right at the entrance gates of the park. With a total height of 51.8 metres, a drop of 50 metres and a maximum speed of 107.8 km/h, it will rush over its 1269.2 metres long track and flip its guests upside down six times. It will become the world’s tallest, fastest and longest wing coaster.

Leviathan is coming

While Europe is looking forward to its tallest roller coaster “Shambhala”, which is placed at PortAventura this year, the Canadians will vigorously catch up in May. The spanking new thrill machine of 93 m (around 306 ft) in height at Canada’s Wonderland in Ontario towers some 17 m (around 55 ft) above the new European record holder. Although both coaster where made by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, the one in North America seems to be way more interesting.
