North America hosts the tallest roller coasters in the world: with up to 139 metres the steel tracks wind their way up into the sky. But there are ways to scrape the sky and, however, not challenge great altitude differences and long, steep drops. And so does Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s newest attraction: Cliffhanger.

“The end is only the beginning” – this is the slogan, SixFlags America is advertising for its new attraction in 2012, a stand-up roller coaster manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, which is named properly: “Apocalypse – The Last Standing”. Revamped and set into a doomsday scenario the park’s eighth roller coaster is now taking its turns over an area full of destruction and damage.

Since its inital launch more than ten years ago, parkscout.de has seen quite a lot changes. Founded by theme park fans who wanted to share their experiences and tips with interested internet users on a professional basis, it evolved to the largest internet portal about amusement parks, zoos, holiday parks, water parks and botanical gardens in the German speaking market.
